Your named Deafblind UK Contact - Vanessa Bradley
Vanessa Bradley, Volunteer Co-Ordinator
I’m Vanessa and I’m the Volunteer Coordinator here at Deafblind UK. I’ve been with Deafblind UK since May 2019 but have worked in volunteering for over 20 years. I oversee our National Volunteer Programme growing and developing our volunteer pool. I’m the central point of coordination for Deafblind UK volunteer recruitment and management working with our staff team to identify and create new volunteering opportunities. Our aim is to ensure that you all have a warm welcome and that we are doing our best to support you all in the many roles you support us in.
I believe that volunteering can be hugely beneficial not only to those benefitting but for those that choose to become volunteers themselves. Volunteering enables people to develop new skills, build confidence and become part of a wider community and I have found being a volunteer myself incredibly rewarding.
The support that the charity and our members receive from you, our amazing team of volunteers, is integral to the work we do, and we simply couldn’t do what we do without you.
Our plans for the year involve some new volunteering roles which we are excited to start working on. We will be sharing these when we are ready to recruit so look out for more details in these updates in the months to come!
