I’m Raine and I am the Befriending Officer here at Deafblind UK.
I have been with Deafblind UK since end of May 2022, working in Care and Support as Care Co-Ordinator at Rainbow Court. I have over 30 years working in Health and Social Care and Education. I have recently moved into volunteering at Deafblind Uk and really enjoying it.
I am the point of contact for our remote befriending volunteers. My role is to support both volunteers and members through the process of befriending. Ensuring that we’re building supportive relationships, engaging in regular conversations, and offering guidance to help improve the wellbeing of service users.
